today in our area. sherrie johnson is live with what is in store throughout baltimore city and our community. >> reporter: my dad served 26 years in the air force and myenterer pilot in the air force. today is a day to say thank you to them and veterans and those serving. later on this morning a number of people will gather here at mount vernon square for the annual veterans day march and ceremony. it's a time not just a time off work but a time to come together and salute the folks that are doing so much for our country. now this all starts at about 9:00 this morning right here at mount vernon square where it will wind its way downtown. baltimore mayor stephanie rawlings blake will be on hand for this event. she will lead a march of dignitaries veterans and military personnel down charles street from the washington monument to the actual ceremony. there will be a formal ceremony at war memorial plaza and a number of streets will be closed this morning because of that parade starting at 7 a.m. now they have asked people to have their cars moved fret streets at 6 a.m. but the closur

. >>> a baltimore city police officer has been suspended over allegations of sexual misconduct. >> sherrie johnson is live at police headquarters with more on the developing case. >> we are here life at police headquarters where the new police commissioner held a news conference to talk about the alleged misconduct of a police officer. this is 39 year old officer elliot simon, he worked out of the north western district on reisterstown road, he has been with the department for 13 years and now facing possible criminal charges, in connection with an incident involving an 18 year old woman, commissioner bats used the term sexual misconduct in the news conference and said the crime occurred while officer simon was on duty and could indicate that the 18 year old woman had been detained by officer simon. the city state's attorney's office started to look in to the case to decide whether or not to file criminal charges. >> over the weekend, the investigation, received a complaint of sexual miscon duck between an 18-year-old female and on duty baltimore police department officer. >> r

season only going to get worse. we are dealing with two water main breaks still in baltimore city, in mount vernon, it's still going to have an impact on all the madison street, but it has reopened. you are actually able to make a left and get downtown on guilford. as the morning rush does progress, you will want to anticipate delays. use 83. this is a look at the scene yesterday. you can see a lot of work under way. they made significant progress, all of the water had been restored to residents and businesses in the mount vernon neighborhood. but no word yet on when the 30- inch main will be repaired. it could take quite a while. about a mile away from this scene we're still dealing with last week's massive water main break. it continues to shut down north charles street. that's going to be right between north avenue and 21st street. your best alternate routes are 83 and calvert street. you're taking a live look downtown right now at 95 at 395. traffic moving right along. there are no delays through the fort mchenry tunnel or the harbor tunnel. and if you are using the 695 here in pa
